What People Are Saying About Their Whopaints Gallery Experience
We stopped in the galley and had a very nice visit with the artist. She was so friendly and shared her painting techniques with my kids–they thought it was so cool! You won’t want to leave without picking up some of the lovely cards that have her beautiful prints on them.
A Small Gem
My brother and I happened upon this gem of a place. Even before we entered the gallery/studio, we were smitten by the beautiful garden.
The artist is a friendly, passionate and charming person and her art is unique, bold and simply beautiful to behold. I purchased a small painting, which I adore, and I would have purchased others, but I live overseas and needed to be conscious of suitcase weight.
An inspiration for all the senses
A short walk down an eclectic garden path leads to a working artist studio complete with floor to ceiling creations that stun the senses, tools of the trade in every nook, two dogs who call it home, and a resident artist with a true passion for her work! Wendilee Heath O’Brien is as engaging with her patrons as she is with her exquisite work. On display are paintings ranging from colorful florals to gold leaf Asian inspired landscapes. Each has a story all its own and the artist happily shares it! She encourages questions regarding her inspirations and techniques, and is an engaging “teacher”. Available for sale are large beautiful pieces of art in varying styles as well as small canvases and many original note cards. Visit to buy or just visit to be entertained and inspired! I can’t wait to go again!
Meeting the artist and hearing her describe the variety of techniques she uses was amazing. Her paintings are inventive and she explores the edges of technique with fascinating results. Her watercolors that are done without using brushes but use the water itself to apply the paint are stunning. She pushes beyond the limits of watercolor in a way I haven’t seen anywhere else. Her enthusiasm for the media she uses and experiments with, the results she gets, and her willingness to share made my visit unforgettable.
