In Cool
I began painting when I wanted to capture the stories unfolding as I followed my children.
Grandmas
I loved my mother-in -law. When my father-in-law died suddenly all I could think to give her was her favorite flowers.
Mist and Colors
Sitting in my garden (that was once our driveway) I realize I have no need for bird feeders.
3:30 Little Moose
As fall ends and winter sets in the light changes dramatically. The sun sets lighting the skies in the east and enflaming the red granite.
Schoodic Tree Spil
The trees which grow from rocks tell the stories of past winds.
Petit Manan Heath
This is a dear place full of life. Down the middle of the end of the peninsula is a winding water way.
Sea Rose Show
The birds a top the Donut Hole always look like they are at the movies
Fertility Spirit
Weathered remaines of ancients are powerful full of spirit, lines, color and life. I honor these living statues.
Lute and Kitty
Practicing skills – so critical for me to work on my drawing skills- they atrophy so fast
Inai Inai Ba
I was asked to make screens for Longwood Gardens for their fall Mum festival. 20 x 6 feet. This was an amazing project.
The other side of the screnes
Inlets – Driftwood Amaking
I was working on learning oil on leaf. This was a break through piece.
Flower Shop
Umbrellas are omnipresent in Japan. They are fun to paint in all their angles and colors.
Quiet Season
My first attempt at a new technique I want to develop.
Winter Colors
Here is my next attempt. Snow against a cloudly sky has hard edges. Then I thought what if I apply another layer of mask then wash. This has 8 layers. Attempt 2.
